It’s a story about a girl called Florence who is good at sports – but her friend
from school Frank – doesn’t believe her, so Florence decides to challenge him. In
this fun and rhyming story, a boy and a girl discover equality through sport and
challenge. It proves the power of believing in yourself and also that stereotypes
are strong even among children – the good news is – such books can help us to
change them. It’s a delightful read with both strong message and beautiful
illustrations both for pre-schoolers as well as children in KS1.
